Friday, August 29 - LVFBody members who want to cruise up to Mesquite to meet up with the Utah F-bodies, we will have something posted in the Events forum. We are meeting the Utah F-bodies there and escorting them to Las Vegas. Friday evening we'll meet at the Outlet Mall parking lot located on Warm Springs & Las Vegas BLVD, at around 6:30pm, just like last year. Instead of washing you car across the street like the last couple of years. We'll have a mobile car wash and detailing team in the Outlet Mall parking lot.
Saturday, August 30 - This is going to be a busy day! Saturday morning we are having a group dyno at Garth's shop. Looks like $50 for three pulls plus air/fuel. We are giving out plaque's for the top 3 highest dyno's. If you want bragging rights for the highest horsepower, this is your chance. Looks like we'll have a BBQ going on, during that time. Once we're done, it's off to the sppedway!
We got the LVMS track back!! That's right, once again we have the track! Looks like we'll get our own lane, for a little heads up racing and some bracket racing. For those who don't want to race, we're also getting a area up front for a little car show, to show off your bling to the public. $40 to race, Spectating and/or car show $20.
LVF-Body friends: Looks like some other clubs are joining us for some racing. Corvette, GTO, and the Grand National clubs might be joining us. Which should make for and interesting day of racing. CONFIRMED. We have decided to have Plaque's for fastest f-body, fastest GTO, Fastest Corvette, fastest Grand National. Plus, winners of heads up racing and bracket will get 1st and 2nd place plaque's.
Sunday, August 31 - Invasion time!! Beginning around 11am, and going 'till around 4pm. This year we will have a food vender on the premises. Plus, our anuall Car Show. Activities planned, but not limited to: Volleyball, water balloon fights, Horseshoe's (new), Kid's Jumper (new), etc. Plus, Don't forget the raffle for detailing products, engine products, car products, dyno pull, restuarant gift certificates, and much much more!
New This Year!
1) Change of plans! We have decided to reinstate the BBQ in the price of Invasion, like in previous years. We tried something new and it didn't work out.
2)We wanted to get a liitle more activities in this year, so we are having a kids jumper there, volleyball net, and some horseshoe pits.
3) Corvette, GTO, & Grand National clubs, will be joining us on Saturday/Sunday to participate in the activities. They might have a section to show off their BLING, but they are not part of the Car Show. Car show prizes are strictly F-body only.
Car Show! Classes include: Best 1st Gen, Best 2nd Gen, Best 3rd Gen, Best 4th Gen Camaro, Best 4th Gen Firebird, Best Modified - Cosmetic, Best Modified - Mechanical, Long distance award, and best of show. Trophies and great prizes will be awarded for first place and runner up as well as goodie bags for all attendees.
We will be meeting this year at the Sunset Park Area F, located at 2601 Sunset Rd, Las Vegas NV. The park is on the corner of Sunset/Eastern. The entrance to Area F is on Eastern, between Sunset and Warm Springs. Check the direction tab for a map.
